Stamford Nub News has joined forces with a regular reader to share a 'Cocktail of the Week' feature, including classics, reinventions of familiar favourites and some crazy concoctions unique to Nub News.

This week's mix is a strong one that combines to create a herbal but fresh cocktail. The herbal or medicinal flavour combination inspired the name, Drunk Physician.

Read on to find out how to make it...

Ingredients:

  • 50ml Aperol
  • 20ml creme de cassis
  • 20ml amaretto
  • 20ml blue curaçao
  • dash of bitters - orange bitters are great if you have them

Method:

  1. put all of your liquid ingredients into a mixing glass with ice
  2. stir for 30 seconds or until chilled
  3. run orange peel around the rim of your tumbler
  4. strain your cocktail into the glass over ice
  5. garnish with orange peel

Enjoy - slowly, this is a strong one!
