Life-saving defibrillators have been handed over to Lincolnshire Integrated Volunteer Emergency Service (LIVES) volunteer emergency first responders in the local area.
Defibrillators for Bourne Defibrillator, separately funded by the Len Pick Trust, and Stamford equipment funded direct by LIVES, has been handed over in an event hosted by South Kesteven District Council and LIVES.
SKDC councillors met LIVES volunteers for the hand-over at Bourne Fire Station.
Further defibrillators for a Deepings project, replacing outdated equipment to treat cardiac arrests, has been funded by a £4,896 grant from South Kesteven District Council's Community Fund.
The replacement equipment means that the four emergency responders based in The Deepings can now help an estimated two to three medical emergencies every week.
An extra fifth defibrillator was funded by the Deepings Business Community to equip an additional Deepings responder.
Cllr Annie Mason, SKDC's Cabinet member for People and Safer Communities said: "To see our grant funding helping to save lives is absolutely incredible. LIVES volunteers do a brilliant job, often unrecognised, and it's our privilege to support them with new equipment.
"Our community funding has helped a huge number of different projects and organisations over the years, and I am very proud of how the council has made such a difference to so many."
Nikki Cooke, Chief Executive Officer of LIVES, said: "We're enormously thankful to the South Kesteven District Council's Community Fund for the £4,896 grant towards our defib rollout.
"The money has gone a long way to helping us equip our volunteer emergency first responders, doctors, paramedics and nurses with a new generation of defibrillators that have the power to transform how we respond to medical emergencies, and train for them."
