Local charity seek clothes and goods for babies and children

A local charity are looking for clothes and goods to help support parents in need in the local area.

Bumps & Beyond are a local charity who run a baby and children's Lending Library from their Pegasus House headquarters in the heart of Stamford.

Bumps & Beyond was founded in 2009 by Alice Scott in a small cupboard on the Stamford Hospital site. Over 15 years later, now the endeavour is a fully fledged charity in its own right and has helped over 10,000 thousand parents and caregivers and sorted and sourced over 50 tonnes of clothing.

They work as a team to help support caregivers provide for their young families. They often run raffles at local events to raise funds, and put out appeals on their Facebook page for specific goods when the need arises.

The team are are currently in of the following:

  • 6-9 months girls & boys sleep wear
  • 9-12 months boys sleep wear
  • 18-24 months girls all clothing
  • 3-4 years girls all clothing

On top of this, they are looking for a cot and two high chairs.

The team said: "If you can help at all with any of the sizes above please drop off donations on our open days."

The charity is open on Monday and Thursdays from 9:30am until 1:30pm and can be found at Pegasus House, West Street, Stamford, PE9 2PN
