A local group are raising funds to build a pump track for the children and young people of Kings Cliffe village and rural area at Kings Cliffe Active.

KC Active, a sports and recreation complex set on a 12-acre site just a short drive from Stamford, are crowdfunding with the hopes of building a pump track at their facility.

A pump track is a looped sequence of rollers and berms—swoopy, banked turns— primarily used by bike riders. It's designed to maximize your momentum, so you can ride it with minimal pedaling.

They offer learning tools great for individuals of all ages, as well as encouraging group participation and exercise.

KC Active shared on their social media: "A pump track is a great facility for them to be outdoors and active with their friends, and can be enjoyed by any age, any ability on bike (balance, bmx, mountain) scooter or skateboard.

"As a result of grants secured, we are 87% to our target, and this crowdfunding is to get us the funds to commission the build and get a Pumptrack built by the summer. Please support us with a donation and enjoy one of the rewards depending on the donation you can make!"

You can donate via the Crowfunder page set up by the group.
