Facebook selling sites for Stamford and Lincolnshire have been flooded with scammers ahead of a music event at Burghley House.

The Classic Ibiza event, which is set to take place on 29 July, sold out weeks ago, leaving residents still searching for tickets.

Stamford residents are keen to party the night away to Classic Ibiza anthems under the stars this weekend, but scammers have put dampers on the sold-out event.

Facebook selling sites have been inundated with residents looking for tickets to the eventing of dance music. However, scammers have all hitched a ride on this last minute flurry, and have been targeting both those looking to sell and purchase tickets.

The event will see Urban Soul Orchestra, world class DJs and a host of critically acclaimed vocalists bring a heady blend of Balearic beats to life in the beautiful grounds of Burghley House.

Classic Ibiza starts with a chill-out set where you can enjoy your picnics and a drink, or dance along as the sun fades. Then DJ Goldierocks will turn things up in the interval, getting you into the mood before the Urban Soul Orchestra and vocalists return to the stage to bring a vibrant atmosphere to the summer evening. One classic dance track will follow another, as the delightful outdoor setting of Burghley turns into a magical, alfresco celebration, with accompanying lasers.

Stamford residents think so too, but those looking to buy and sell tickets ahead of the event on Saturday have been warned to remain vigilant online.

Scammers have shared unsafe links promising tickets, and have been attempting to get buyers to pay them for tickets that, ultimately, do not exist.
