A film crew have set up shop at Burghley House, near Stamford, a popular filming location for a huge range of films and period dramas, from BBC to Netflix.

Production trailers belonging to the film company Panalux have arrived at Burghley Park, ready to begin shooting season six of popular Netflix drama, The Crown.

It is understood that filming for the upcoming season of The Crown will kick off later this week.

Burghley House has been used for a range of shoots, including:

  • Pride & Prejudice (2005)
  • Bleak House (2005 and 1985)
  • BBC's Antiques Roadshow (1979-)
  • The Batman (2022)

The Crown was added to that prestigious list in October 2021, with scenes from the last season of the drama being filmed there, including the reproduction of the 1992 fire which, in reality, took place at Windsor Castle.
