Permission to extend a Stamford-based school has been revoked due to a Council blunder, and local residents appear set to object to the developments.

On 12 January 2023 at a South Kesteven District Council (SKDC) planning meeting, Stamford Endowed Schools was given permission to add three new laboratories to and expand an existing one on land off of Brazenose Lane.

However, the decision was revoked following a revelation that SKDC had not informed residents of the meeting date, meaning that residents failed to attend the consultation to share their concerns.

Objections to the development have been made by residents of St Leonard's Street, on the basis that the school would overlook and limit light to their properties.

The meeting will now take place on Thursday 2 February 2023 at 1pm.
