Police boost patrols following arson attempt at Stamford recreation ground

Stamford's police team will be upping patrols in the area following an arson attempt at Stamford recreation round on Friday night.

Just after 10pm, Stamford Fire and Rescue were called to a blaze on Recreation Ground Road where a stretch of fencing was ablaze.

Since, Stamford Police have announced that patrols have and will be increased in the area following this incident.

They said: "Following a reported arson incident at the Recreation Ground in Stamford, the Neighbourhood Policing Team will be stepping up patrols of the area. If you see anything suspicious, please report it to us, and when you see us out on patrol, stop us for a chat if you have any questions."
