An actor from Stamford will be returning to his role in Netflix's 'Sex Education' as the fourth and final season of the teen drama is announced.

'Sex Education' is a British teen sex comedy drama television series created by Laurie Nunn for Netflix. It follows the lives of the students, staff and parents of the fictional Moordale Secondary School as they contend with various personal dilemmas - many of which involve sex.

Starring in the programme, alongside  Asa Butterfield, Gillian Anderson, Ncuti Gatwa, Emma Mackey and other famous faces, is Stamford's own George Robinson.

George is a local lad who, despite being born in Nottingham, attended Stamford School from 2015.

At school, he was a keen rugby player, but little did he know that his fame would come from acting, rather than his favourite sport...

When he was 17, George went on Stamford School's rugby tour to South Africa.

While on tour, he suffered a severe spinal neck injury attempting a tackle.

As a result of the accident, Robinson is tetraplegic and uses a power-assisted manual wheelchair.

With support from Stamford School, George was able to return to finish his secondary education at 19, and he ultimately ended up studying Philosophy at The University of Birmingham.

However, he paused his studies after being cast as Isaac in the second season of 'Sex Education'. His character's disability was written around the actor's real life one, and both George and the creative team have been widely praised for highlighting and representing disability in popular media.

One again, George will be representing in the fourth and final season of 'Sex Education'.

Creator of the cult show, Laurie Nunn, alongside the creative team shared the announcement on social media that this season would be the last of the popular drama, adding: "We wanted to make a show that would answer some of the questions we all used to have about love, sex, friendship and our bodies. Something that would have helped our inner teenagers feel less alone. It's been overwhelming to see how this show has connected with people around the world, and we hope it's made some of you feel a little less alone too."

The team also shared a trailer, which shows George's familiar face returning to our TV screens:
