Last weekend, Sunday 4 June, the Rutland County Show welcomed 1000s of visitors to Rutland Showground.
The annual event, which takes place in Oakham, the county town of Rutland, saw visitors of all ages flock to the vast agricultural event to enjoy rural exhibitions and displays, games, rides, animal encounters, food and drinks, a livestock auction, live music and so much more.
It is hosted by Rutland Agricultural Society, which was established in 1831 to promote agriculture in the county, and held at Rutland Showground - a venue that plays host to a range of events throughout the year, from Rutland Music Festival to grassroots football and rugby fixtures.
The 189th iteration of the Rutland County Show was sponsored by local companies, MHR and Newton Fallowell, who had the event and show rings named after them, hosting a range of rural events - from ferreting to FMX motocross bike displays and scurry racing to scent demos.
The horticulture tent was something to behold, with two Stamford businesses representing in impressive displays.
The first was Burghley House, who put on an impressive floral display representing the grounds and features of the stately home.
The second was MindSpace Stamford.
Based at 39 Broad Street, Stamford, PE9 1PX, the team work with local people to improve mental health and wellbeing within the community.
They won an impressive silver with their entry into the Root-and-Branch-Out horticulture competition.
Rutland & Stamford Sound were also in attendance, and welcomed listeners old and new to their stall throughout the day - and the team looked much warmer as the day progressed and the sun came out!
The one-day event went off with a bang and saw many satisfied farmers, producers, creatives, musicians and attendees heading home happy at the end of the day.
The 190th Rutland County Show will take place on 2 June 2024, so watch this space...
