The team at Stamford Fire Station are getting ready to hold their annual charity car wash this weekend.

Stamford Fire Station will play host to their annual car wash event on Saturday 12 August 2023, all in the name of charity.

The crew will welcome visitors to the station, located on 68 New Cross Road, and take part in a car wash to raise money for The Royal British Legion and The Fire Fighters Charity.

The Fire Fighters Charity offers specialist, lifelong support for members of the UK fire services community, empowering individuals to live happier and healthier lives.

Meanwhile, The Royal British Legion The Royal British Legion helps members of the Royal Navy, British Army, Royal Air Force, both in service and after retirement, as well as their families.

Stamford Fire Station is unique in that it is the only 2 appliance station in Lincolnshire that is manned solely by On-Call Firefighters. This means that the team are members of the local community with other jobs, and work together on a rotating schedule to man the Stamford branch of the Fire and Rescue Service.

Crew members take on the On-Call role out of love and dedication to the Stamford community, and are once again showing their heart and dedication by donning the uniform and hosting their annual car wash.

Head down on Saturday 12 August from 9am until 2pm to support the team at Stamford Fire Station as they raise funds for two much-loved national charities.
