The Rotary Club of Stamford St Martin's has celebrated earning a citation award for achievements in 2022-23.

Across the world, Rotary clubs support International causes including the provision of ways to produce clean water, fight disease and responding to disasters as and when they might happen. Members can share their personal and vocational skills through activities such as project planning, communications, service delivery and more, and members of all ages are welcome.

Now, the Stamford St Martin's group have celebrated an achievement award under their former president of four years, John Nowell.

A spokesperson for the club said: "The Rotary Club of Stamford St Martin's is very pleased to announce that it earned a Rotary Citation for achievements during President John Nowell's year 2022-23.

"Citations are awarded for achieving goals that strengthen Rotary clubs, including increasing club membership, developing sustainable service projects, giving to The Rotary Foundation, and building awareness of Rotary in your community."

Anyone can join a rotary club and, although many members are retired, due to the regular weekday meetings, young people are encouraged to get on board.
