Two lucky LotterySK ticker holders have each scooped £250 in the latest South Kesteven District Council community lottery draw.

One supports the Friends of Sandon and Ambergate (FOSA) in Grantham and the other supports the 1stThurlby Scout Group.

The same draw resulted in three more FOSA supporters winning £25.

FOSA is LotterySK's most successful good cause, raising £22,520 thanks to its loyal band of supporters regularly buying contributing tickets, one of whom won the top prize of £25,000 in the very first week of lottery activity.

Friends' fundraising helps the pupils of Grantham Additional Needs Fellowship with anything from class trips to playground equipment, and, more recently, funding a new Food Technology room.

In Thurlby, the Scout Group has raised almost £3,000 towards its running costs, equipment and activities.

The group has 100 members aged 6-18 who meet weekly in the village hall to enjoy archery, sailing, camping, hiking, craft, cooking and outdoor games plus The Duke of Edinburgh Award Scheme for the older Explorer section.

All ticket holders also have a chance to win a £1,000 Centre Parcs holiday thanks to the lottery's latest add-on attraction, with the draw taking place on 25 March.

In Stamford, the draw supports a range of local causes, including Stamford Diversity Group, who are participating in the Centre Parcs draw.

The group also have a range of Sunday workshops and other events coming up this year.

To share your own events, click the 'Nub It' button on the Stamford Nub News What's On page, where you can see other community, music, sporting and ticketed events going on locally.

LotterySK ticket holders have the chance of a £25,000 top prize in every weekly draw. Nominated good causes receive 50p for every £1 ticket sold.

Another 10p from each ticket sale goes to the SK Community Fund, meaning that 60% of each ticket sale goes to support good causes in South Kesteven. Each ticket has a one in 50 chance of winning.

To buy tickets, or register as a good cause, go to www.lotterysk.co.uk where there is also information and advice for groups wanting help on how to encourage ticket sales.
