A local café is getting ready to relocate to Stamford this month.

Wansford Country Lounge, formerly located at 12 London Road in Wansford, is moving to 37 St Mary's Street.

The team will open up shop in the former home of Fine Foods Group.

While it has not yet been announced when the café will open, the team have promised an early September launch in their new venue, and are already hard at work in the town-centre venue.

The team shared on social media: "Due to circumstances beyond our control and no fault of our own, we are embarking on a journey to a new location. While it's difficult to say goodbye to our charming cafe that has become our second home, we carry with us the cherished memories we've created here.

"Get ready for a fresh chapter as we transform into Stamford's newest hotspot. Mark your calendars for the grand opening in early September!

"Keep an eye out for our upcoming Instagram updates and the big opening day reveal."

The shop will be called Stamford Country Lounge once it has relocated.
