Heritage Open Day Cemetery Tour

On 16 September, Stamford Town Council will host a Cemetery Tour for Heritage Open Days festival. The event will showcase the rich history of the cemetery and provide attendees with the opportunity to explore its beautiful surroundings. This event is open to everyone, but booking is essential due to limited capacity.

During the cemetery tour, attendees will learn about the notable people buried in the cemetery and the history of Stamford itself. The cemetery is the final resting place of some of Stamford's most prominent figures, including mayors, doctors, and businessmen. The tour will be led by expert guides who will provide valuable insights into the cemetery's past and present.

This event is suitable for all ages, and attendees are encouraged to wear comfortable shoes and bring their cameras. The tour will provide an immersive experience, with plenty of opportunities to ask questions and learn more about Stamford's fascinating history.

Don't miss out on this fantastic opportunity to explore the history of Stamford's cemetery. Book your place now to avoid disappointment.
