Ermine Way Attempted Mugging Update

More information has been released about an attempted street robbery in Stamford this morning.

A man was attacked in Ermine Way but fought off his assailant, who fled the scene.

Police in Stamford are hunting a male who was involved in the attempted robbery.

The incident occurred at 10:57 today (April 1) involving a white male aged in his twenties, wearing a grey puffa jacket and grey jogging bottoms with a GK logo on the thigh.

A police spokesperson said: "The victim was male and this incident took place on the street. It is reported the victim resisted by pushing the offender away but the offender fled the scene."

Police say the male is also likely to have a facial injury.

Anyone who was in the area at the time and may have seen the man, or the incident, should call Stamford Police on 101 quoting incident 122 of 01/04/19.
