As build of a new car park continues, and forestry maintenance and filming projects commence this week, visitors to Burghley House near Stamford should expect to see more vehicle activity than usual in the main areas of the Park.

This disruption should be expected to last for at least 2 weeks.

Some of the disruption will be caused by the secretive filming of the new series of The Crown, commissioned by Netflix and filmed by Panalux.

A 10mph speed limit has also been enforced across the Estate and all staff/on-site teams have been informed to take extra precaution when driving through the Parkland.

The team shared on their social media: "Please be mindful of the additional activity on your visit. Thank you in advance for your co-operation."

This disruption also means that opening times will vary this week, so be sure to check the Burghley House website before planning your visit.

The Orangery Restaurant will be closed on:

Wednesday 18 January

Thursday 19 January

Friday 20 January

Saturday 21 January
