A local group are hosting a weekly wellbeing walk, and you are invited to join them.

Hosted by Ramblers Wellbeing Walks, and supported by Leisure UK and Lincolnshire Co-op, the walk takes place every Thursday from 1:30pm and is open to all.

The importance of wellbeing has been emphasised across the country since the pandemic, and local groups, charities and organisations are finding way to help cultivate both physical and mental wellbeing within the community.

According to the NHS, there are 5 steps to help you achieve a sense of wellbeing:

  1. Connect with other people
  2. Be physically active
  3. Learn new skills
  4. Give to others
  5. Pay attention to the present moment (mindfulness)

These 5 simple actions have been reflected by the local charity, MindSpace Stamford, who say that you should connect, learn, be active, give and take notice to help yourself achieve a sense of wellbeing.

The group have also shared a local map offering examples of walks, destinations and quite spots in and around Stamford where you can work on your wellbeing.

Now, you can make connections, get active, and work on your mindfulness with the Ramblers Wellbeing Walk every Thursday.
