On 31 January 2023, Lakeside Healthcare introduced their new Chief Executive, Jessica Bawden.

At the AGM of the Lakeside Patient Participation Group (PPG), approximately 60 patients were introduced to the new Chief Executive of the healthcare group, where Ms Bawden addressed a report compiled over the last 12 months considering, among other things, the accessibility of Lakeside.

Of particular concern to residents was the accessibility of the centre by phone, which Ms Bawden dubbed as improved but not acceptable.

Teri White, hub manager at Lakeside Stamford, said that the group are currently recruiting another member of staff to the reception team of 14.

Nonetheless, patients of the Sheepmarket surgery recounted stories of being as far back as 70 in a queue of patients waiting to contact the facility.

Ms Bawden confirmed that waiting so long was "not acceptable".
