MindSpace Stamford are leading the way to improved mental health serviced in Lincolnshire.

A call has gone out for people to complete a new survey in a bid to improve mental health services in Lincolnshire. The survey is aimed at those with past or present experience of the mental health care system in our area and by taking part, people will be helping to make a difference to others.

The information is being collated by the Co-Production team at MindSpace Stamford. Pip Tiffin, People & Operations Lead at MindSpace says: "We want people from Stamford, Bourne and surrounding villages who have had experience of accessing mental health care system to make their voices heard through completing this simple survey. We are also keen to hear from carers who have experienced supporting someone accessing local mental health support."

Pip explains that the purpose of the Co-Production Group is to work with services in Lincolnshire to shape them for the better. "Co-production brings people with experience of using services together with those who deliver them, to work together to design new things and make things better for everyone," she says.

"Our survey is being compiled with the aim of hearing the voices of as wide a range of people as possible, all of whom have experienced or are currently accessing services within our county's mental health care system. The group will take this information gathered from the survey to inform our work with the Mental Health Transformation Team, who are striving to improve the NHS services on offer to those struggling with their mental health."

Community Mental Health Support aims to improve the quality of life for people and their families who are struggling with their mental health and wellbeing.

Pip added: "Mental health support can include visiting your GP, receiving support from a Social Prescriber or Peer Worker to accessing community activities to improve your mental health and wellbeing, or having experience of accessing specialist support for your mental health."
