The 'Moments' of Peace exhibition first unveiled in October 2022 has moved into a Bourne gallery this month.

Stamford Diversity Group, a Rutland photographer and Wake House in Bourne will be hosting an exhibition recognising the Ukrainian people and refugees living in the UK.

This exhibition was previously hosted by the Stamford Arts Centre Gallery in October, and Oakham's Allman Gallery at Victoria Hall from late November into early December 2022.

This exhibition feature six Ukrainian refugee families who have settled in the Stamford, Bourne and local areas contrasting the moments of peace that they find here with the moments of reflection of the lives they have left behind. This was greatly assisted and curated by the Stamford Diversity Group.

The project aims to represent the lives of Ukrainian refugees in Stamford. It involves two images per family juxtaposing the harsh reality back home which never truly leaves them with moments of peace that they find here. This is a pilot display of an ongoing project by Alan Walters, a Rutland photojournalist, in conjunction with Stamford Diversity Group.

The venue can be found at:

Wake House

41 North Street

Bourne

PE10 9AE

Opening times are:

Monday - Friday, 9:00am – 9.30pm
