Anyone who regularly travels through Stamford is encouraged to have a say in how the town's transport network looks over the next twenty years.

People living and working in Stamford, along with businesses and other local groups, will have the opportunity to ask questions and share their experiences, visions and ideas for improving the transport network in town at a series of upcoming drop-in sessions.

The information gathered will be used to create a new transport strategy that will include proposals for improving local transport both now and in the future.

The events will take place at the following locations at the following dates/times:

Friday 21 April, 8:30am to 12pm - Marquee outside of Superdrug and Nationwide, High St, Stamford, PE9 2AY

Saturday 22 April, 10am to 3pm - Marquee outside of Superdrug and Nationwide, High St, Stamford, PE9 2AY

Tuesday 25 April, 10am to 6pm - Stamford Town Hall, St Mary's Hill, Stamford, PE9 2DR

Cllr Richard Davies, executive member for highways, said: "The pop-up events we have planned are the perfect opportunity for people to share their ideas on how to make getting into and around Stamford quicker and easier.

"During the drop-ins, we want as many people as possible to complete our questionnaire to tell us about their recent experiences and their expectations for the next twenty years. This information will then feed into the new strategy we're working on.

"Those that can't make it to our engagement events can complete the survey online at www.letstalk.lincolnshire.gov.uk once live."

The online survey will launch on Monday 17 April and run until Friday 12 May.

Cllr Davies added: "Stamford plays an incredibly important role within Lincolnshire, which is why we're committed to improving and investing in its local infrastructure and transport services.

"It's not just the people living, working and visiting Stamford that rely on good transport connections, though. Businesses also need a strong transport network to move goods between villages, towns and cities, so the new strategy will have major economic benefits as well."
