St Paul's Street to close for roadworks

St Pauls Street is set to close for roadworks this Thursday, 23 February.

A leak is set to be repaired on St Paul's Street by Anglian Water this week.

Works will be completed by Monday.

This follows criticism form Lincolnshire leaders concerning the length of the road closures undertaken by Anglian Water.

Councillor Martin Hill, who dubbed these closers a 'massive issue', said the water company is the worst offender for road closures without reason. 

The company was fined over £168,150 last year for leaving out rogue signs and overrunning highways works, with a total of 571 permit-breaching days in 2021-22.

Anglian Water said they prioritised worker safety, but understood frustration about disruptions.
