Stamford fair raises over £5,000 for charity

Over £5,000 was raised at the annual Stamford Garden and Food Fair this year.

The record breaking amount was raised by The Rotary Club of Stamford St Martins, hosted their 10th iteration of the popular event at the town meadows this weekend.

On Sunday 7 May, 100s flocked to the annual event the enjoy and purchase food and drinks, garden products and homeware, entertainment and good company from the lovely folks at the Rotary Club.

The family event saw families enjoying the weather, which was better than forecast, and supporting local sellers.

The event raised more than £5,000 which will support local and international causes.

The Rotary Club of Stamford formed in 2001 and have been supporting charities and groups, at home and abroad, ever since.

They meet every Tuesday evening at The William Cecil Hotel, Stamford at 7:30 pm, and can be contacted online.
