Stamford in Bloom have created a range of chair displays to mark the Coronation of King Charles III.

Working in conjunction with local businesses who sponsored the chair displays for the royal event, Stamford in Bloom have deposited a range of floral displays around Stamford to decorate the historic market town in time for the Coronation on Saturday 6 May.

While they certainly aren't any good for sitting, these chair displays are 'stand up' and show the heart of the community as they get ready to celebrate the historic event set to take place this weekend.

Stamford in Bloom is a volunteer group that plants floral displays around the town.

They shared news of their most recent floral folly on social media: "It's been a busy couple of weeks getting the flower chairs ready for the King's Coronation.

"It's always a team effort so now it's time to say thanks:

"Our creative mastermind Yvonne came up with the ideas and sourced the plants. Denise, Jayne, Sue, Helen, Jennifer and Alison helped Yvonne cleaning, painting, prepping, planting and bejewelling them. Thank you!

"Plants were sourced from Stamford Garden Centre, Wothorpe Nurseries and the Barn Garden Centre, Oundle. The reels of ribbon donated last year from The Stamford Fabric Company are still being used too. Thank you!

"Thank you to all the town businesses that supported Stamford in Bloom by sponsoring a chair. We know times are hard for everyone at the moment so your support is very much appreciated

"And last but not least a big thanks to Neil McIvor and Nina van Dyck for delivering the chairs from our headquarters at Stamford Garden Centre into town today, helped by Yvonne, Duncan, Fiona and Jennifer. We couldn't have done it without you."
