A man has been charged with grievous bodily harm (GBH) and controlling and coercive behaviour following an assault on Tuesday 2 May.

The incident took place on the morning of Tuesday 2 May 2023, and left a woman with facial injuries.

Officers conducted interviews and accessed CCTV footage from that morning, and as a result arrested and charged a 49-year-old man.

The individual, Timothy James, is of Tinwell Road, Stamford.

It appears that the assault took place in a private residence and not in the street as previously reported.
