Yesterday, Monday 12 December, Stamford Leisure Pool announced the closure of their pool due to unforeseen circumstances.

The group shared on their social media: "Due to unforeseen circumstances, our pool will unfortunately be closed until further notice.

"We are working behind the scenes to get this back open as soon as possible.

"Thank you for your understanding and please accept our apologies for any inconvenience caused."

Users of the centre have voiced their support, one member saying that she would not be asking for a refund and praising the "AMAZING" staff.

It has not yet been announced when the pool, located on Drift Road, will be reopening, but the team are hopeful that it will be this evening, 13 December 2022.

Other facilities in the leisure centre remain open.
