The search for the owner of a wedding ring found in a Stamford supermarket continues.
Widower, Leo Brown, who lost his wedding ring on 24 November 2022, is in the midst of an enthusiastic search to reunite the ring pictured with the owners.
Leo Brown lost his own ring in a Stamford supermarket this November, and was reunited with it by a member of staff - who he rewarded for handing the ring in.
Leo's ring had sentimental value. It was made from the wedding rings of his birth parents, who married in 1944. Leo was adopted aged 6, but on his 18th birthday he received a very special gift...
Leo explained: "The rings belonging to my birth parents were gifted to me on my 18th birthday, and they were turned into a signet ring. Then, in 1973, when I married my late wife, Pam, I had the ring turned into a wedding band."
As such, Leo was delighted to be reunited with the ring, but he soon discovered that it was not his.
"The ring no longer fit me, so I hadn't put it back on," said Leo. "But then I went to pick up a jersey at home and my ring fell out of it.
"I went to my dresser, and realised that I had two rings, and I had to reunite this ring with the owner."
Leo concluded: "I was devastated when I lost my ring. I suspect that the man who has lost this one is a similar age. It is my mission to reunite the owner with it."
